Barker Electrical Technology Corporation has been in business serving Eastern North Carolina since 2002. We have worked in commercial retail and also transitioned to heavy commercial and industrial work.
We began our residential services division in 2002, specializing in repairs for existing homes, inground and above ground pools, hot tubs/spas, swim/spa, pool houses, pool control systems & exterior structures.
Nathan Andrew Barker was born in 1973, in Hampton Roads, VA. He graduated from Portsmouth Christian School in 1991 and began his career at Watson Electrical Construction Company. Taking night classes, he finished an Electrical Wiring Certification as well as an Associates Degree in Business, MGT. During his career at Watson, Nathan completed a 4-year apprenticeship, ran service trucks, projects and manpower.
He moved to North Carolina in 1998 and worked for two companies for a couple of years, each with little satisfaction. There seemed to be a “Quantity over Quality: practice at both businesses. Nathan knew that he could put Quality over Quantity, so he took the NC Electrical License Exam in 2002 and started Barker Electrical.
